If you're going to whisper to someone you have to be really close to them - close enough to touch. And that is how God talks to us most times - in a whisper. And if poverty is more an inward condition of hopelessness than of outward circumstances how about if you and I (the church), instead of taking up the "cause" of poverty, go to the gutter and whisper hope to real people "in" poverty. Aren't we all hungry for hope?
